...Hirst is still an Acadamy player so I doubt this is anything to do with his future. Also, Wednesday apparently issued a hands-off when we enquired.

Has started featuring on the bench for them, made 2 appearances this season too. Also, £10m would be a transfer record for Sheff Wed no? Where would they get the money from unless there was an outgoing? Just speculation of course...

That's the classic response isn't it. I would like a boss striker, don't mind which one. I've been saying it for four windows now but you'll respond with something like "there's no one available in January" or "who's going to sit on the bench behind Rom". We'll do this dance again in August and you, or someone like you, will call me a cry arse or a bed wetter or something pithy and on and on it goes. We need at least one more forward player. My understanding was that this was the sort of thing a dof would sort out. Apparently not. But the fact that a dude on a forum with no network of agents or scouts to support him is unable to identify an available striker on deadline day means that there were no such players available for the entirety of the window. Or the last one. Nice one. You win. Go have a beer and a brass, forum legend.

I'd take an attacker/striker a good bit better than Kev/Lennon/Kone/Valencia to help out ROM and Ross.

We signed the IMO average but sometimes good Bolasie and then this window a wee kid. Should've done better with two transfer windows I think

They are desperate for a relevant club to makes some movement in the market rather than championship or relegation fodder. At some point SSN will realise this deadline day soap opera is long time dead
