I reckon there's a 1.3% chance of us getting Mertens. I'd be shocked if we get in a real top top player for big money. I'm still expecting another 3-4 signings but not expecting any of them to be 30m+ signings.

Every defender makes mistakes, the top class defenders just make fewer mistakes than others. I'd rather base my opinion on VVD on a Celtic fan of mine (told me he should be in for him when he left Celtic) and the times I've watched him for Southampton.
