Weren't we supposed to be trying to raise our wage ceiling this year? I would expect new contracts for Rom and other first team regulars to go with Barry, Baines and the other new deal to prevent wage deflation re. FFP rules.

Does anybody else think we've absolutely rinsed this transfer window? Anyone calling it a failure is mental imo.

It's completely changed the landscape of the whole squad. One thinks about the squad differently now. It's not 'oh he's there almost on bench', 'he's on bench' blabla it's much more a list of real talent now. And this summer will be completely mental with quality ins and the emergence of RK's real squad. One of the best windows in a very long time.

Looks like he will have to show a lot of faith in the young lads, this window is telling us we might see 2-3 more in the first team squad before the end of the season

I for one am very happy with that. We have a bunch of very talented youngsters coming through so we might as well give them a few first team chances rather than have a queue of career journeymen blocking their way
