I think it is specifically youth players so the fact that he's played first team games might change that. Not really sure if that's how it works but makes sense to me.

Yes we do. I forgot about that. Just shows how much rubbish is being spouted at this time of year. As I said a quick search showed at least half a dozn top clubs are buying him, and they can't all be right.

Did they not have had to have spent X amount of time in an academy and all that jazz? I don’t think it’s as straightforward as not being able to sign U18 English club players.

If that's what you call a midfielder actually wanting to get on the ball and influence play then fine. But there are plenty of examples of players moving up levels.

Because we want to try and be the best team in the country, if we don’t aspire to be the best we might as well not bother going out to get a manager like Ancelotti. So to be the best we need the very best players, atm DCL is way off but it’s his time now, he doesn’t take it I’m sure Ancelotti will make sure we get better sooner rather than later.

Whilst I admire your ambition I do feel you need a reality check. If we only went after players of Kane's level in future transfer windows, which is what you appear to be suggesting, then I can't see us being successful in buying many, if any players.

We had Barkley similar type of player, there was a time he was the main man other came and he didn’t really fit in. we will get a ball player in midfield but they will be much better and experienced than grealish.

Does look like were going to slot him in as the u23 new LCB.

Would be good to make a few signings like this and move on the u23s who we dont feel will be used in the first team in future. Hope this is the first of a few to come in.

who knows we might al ready have one in Kean, different type of player to Kane but I still have high hopes for him, even his little cameos shows he’s got something about him. If managed right I think before long it will be him we are talking about much more than DCL. But even failing that perhaps DCL and Kean can become a partnership to make up for us not having a world class striker.

Barkley's best ever season for us was 14 G+A. Grealish has 11 right now. Different level player.

I genuinely think there are only about 7 or 8 better midfielders in the league right now so finding a better one we can buy is not so straightforward.

Anyway his got spurs written all over him if villa decide to get rid, for some reason I see him being a spurs player more than an Everton one. Though I’m not bothered as I’m not over kean on him, at 24 and if he’s that good why hasn’t he got an England cap yet?

I honestly don't know what Southgate is doing but seeing as Cleverley has like 20 caps I'm not really too concerned about England when judging players.

People act like every decent player has to go to Spurs these days. I think we can get him. They've just spent 100m on their midfield.
