I like the rumours about us getting a new keeper. Long term, I don’t think Pickford is part of the spine of a winning team; he’s not bad but he’s just not exceptionally good.
Is it a priority? I don’t actually think the defence is the biggest problem at the moment but we need players who have mental strength in big games. And Pickford doesn’t.

Where would we play him though? It makes some sense if Ancelotti sees Bernard as a 10 long term but we'd have to play with one striker then.

Remember when we signed all the 10's? I thought we'd play a diamond and we ended up playing dog****.

We do need a wide player. Bernard, Walcott our only real and out wide players.

He’s not really prolific in the Brazilian league is he. Never seen the lad play though

...35 goals in 129 games. By comparison, Richarlison 26 in 95 PL games.

1 in 3 for a predominately left winger is pretty good i think.
Looks a player like.

Last season started 23 games in the league 11 goals and 5 assists from left wing.

Hes hit 19 goals overall in each of the last 2 seasons.

He 'could' be switched over to the right I guess...or Bernard?

One thing ive read about him before was that he was initially behind a fan favourite so took a while for him to make the team until that player was sold.

If you look at the goals ratio per 90mins both DCL and Richarlison are 15 goal a season forwards.

Under Ancelotti over a full season Id expect them to net 15 each next season. Kean also breaking through.

Said it before if we need another striker why not giroud? Not sure if he’s gone inter now but the guys a proven goal scorer, brilliant short term deal and gets goals

He had his chance to lead us to the champions league, but opted to be a squad backup to keep his missus happy. Now he's too old and only wanted as a squad player, let his wages rot somewhere else.

As much as I'm happy with Richy being in the middle, whether he will stay there is another thing and Kean... well, we don't know anything yet.

Completely agree. Get the spine sorted, and the rest will follow. And a top-class keeper will automatically make the centre-halves better.

Bernard in the middle with Gomes and Gbamin, then Everton and Richie on the wings sounds good to me! Just hope Everton Soares can cut it in the premier league. Not being picked up already at this age, is a concern

Can’t see the Everton rumour being true due to us blowing £35mill on Iwobi in the summer. Do think Ancelotti will get a tune out of Iwobi though. We need a powerhouse engine in midfield to take us through to the summer and then let Carlo do his thing
