IF we hav even a couple of million for a striker, we could throw it at one of these prolific lower league players like rhodes or maynard, and maybe give them a fringe player on loan for 6 months. A player with something to prove has to be better than an uninterested saha.

Sure its probably slightly better to get an established lower leaguer than an untested kid up front but when every penny we have is valuable its kinda pointless and better trying to use that money on a more proven type signing.

I'm not a fan of Heitinga, probably because I'm acutely aware he'd sell us down the river as soon as he gets an attractive offer.
Kuyt will never be a 20 goal a season striker but then again he's a perfect Moyes player on the right.

Oh definitely. Hopefully when he does [Poor language removed] off (which he will soon) we can con Bayern Munich or someone into thinking he's good and get £10m+ . He did play in the World Cup final after all.
