I would agree with you if we was bringing someone in like pienaar but to loan him to bring in a defender who isn't ready to play forst team football would be crazy. and as for saving 60k a week, i'm not really aresed about that sitting in a bank account, i want to see players on the pitch not look at bank statements.
Anyway i doubt thay are loaning saha to buy this greek kid.
I wouldn't want Everton spending big on a player who's coming into his twilight years.

Anyone else seen this? SSN are reporting that Saha will go to Spurs on a 6 month loan for free. Presumably to take care of his wages while Jelavic takes his place.

Sounds like Saha / Piennar swap... there has also been mention of a loan move for Cerci / Houlain... Even Jermain Defoe rumors on the BBC... you've got to love transfer day!

I thought the Saha to Spurs rumour was just a rumour but they just mentioned it on SSN. I don't see why it has to be a loan deal and why we can't get a say, 750k fee for him. I'm sure Saha would do well at WHL but that shouldn't matter to us. I am always depressed when Saha starts and would not mind seeing the back of him, especially now that Straq has proved himself worthy and we're signing Jelavic. Moving Saha on could really freshen things up.
