We're stuck though between a rock and a hard place. We can't afford to cast the net around for a couple more weeks. We need a new manager up and running by the weekend.

There won't be so many star players with inflated egos and wage packets to match keen to sign for us. Maybe that won't be altogether a bad thing though.

Hakim Ziyech

Seen a few links to him, £25m from Chelsea, for a 29 year old as a replacement for Gordon. It feels like our usual move, like
When we signed Walcott from Arsenal.

I don’t have anything against Ziyech, but we need to stop signing older players on large wages for a big fee. We would never get a return on that money. Add to the fact Gordon is on about £10k a week and ziyech is on £100k a week, this can’t be good for our FFP
