It’s not even 10am yet and people are having to change their sheets. Go outside for a walk, grab some nice breakfast.

I'm about to go to work and when I'm back I want a full apology from you Nymz that I've soiled my sheets early Sunday morning as I believe I have every right to absolutely soak them dripping wet due to our current predicament.

I shall be logging on and off during the boring moments of work but I'll be back on here from 4pm onwards AND I WANT SOME PLAYERS!!!

Yeah impossible to do business outside of deadline day scraps innit.
This clearly shows the urgency for some clubs to stay in the PL compared to Everton.

It also highlights just how inept Everton are as an operating business.

Not all of those signings are going to be successful of course, but when you look at wolves as an example, it’s very clear to see how much they are willing to throw at staying up.

Due to the apparent discord at board level, it seems that they are happy to sit their on hands and watch the inevitable unfold. Astonishing when you consider what’s at stake.

Think we also need to be cognisant that none of those clubs have financial issues like we do and none of those clubs have just sacked their manager this week. We’re in a completely different scenario to them.

Again though, leaving the Lampard situation until just over a week before the end of the window was always obviously going to make it harder. So on that side of it yes it still stinks of bad planning and mismanagement.

Yeh I agree it is bad planning in that sense just discussing more broadly people saying “but look who club X has signed” is comparing apples and oranges.

In fairness I think we’re still screwed from the previous overspends and there isn’t any money until Gordon’s cash hits the account.

Makes sense given that the only thing that’s happening is getting as close to a loan as we did.

I’m glad we haven’t spent ahead of thinking we could flog Gordon and doing more long term damage to the club, I’m not glad of the way we handled our transfers from Koeman to Ancelotti’s reigns.
