I am not sure I understand the connection between a footballer who felt that his transfer to a different club would happen

and a punter who expected a horse to win a race.. but didn't.

What the same 'Townsend' that cost zero pennies and scored like 7 goals and 4 assists before injury. And that was without much help from Dom either.

Townsend is an incredibly mediocre player. He’s an attacker that has scored 3 league goals - one a penalty. He’s been about par for his mediocre level.

Totally agree, averages about 3 league goals a season, he’s also a one trick pony, run down the right and come back onto his left foot, some of our fans think DCL is Haaland. It’s like get some crosses into the lad and will score 40 goals

Said last season and I don’t want a medal lol, Townsend and gray will get us nowhere, it doesn’t take a genius to work out, buying relegation fodder players and that’s where you will end up.

When you look at all the goals and creativity we have stripped out of the squad in the last few years it's criminal. It's not surprising we can't score goals when we have few goal scorers or creators, relying on Dom who hasnt been fit for eighteen months is what we did all season last year and look where it got us.

We desperately need goals and creativity in January they better be working on it now or I fear for us. Other teams below us are recruiting or bringing a new manager in.

I'm assuming since he just signed a new contract a couple years ago he's on hefty wages for a player not getting regular game time. Why would any team purchase him when they could loan him instead. Everton are clearly intent on letting him go in some capacity. He'll definitely go on loan but nobody's investing significant funds on a transfer especially in January. Like you state he's dreadful and its known at this point

You'd hope for professional pride he would want to play games and with the amortization of his deal maybe we could breakeven at £10mil.

Mad when you think about it but Kudos and Cody Gakpo both could have been bought in the early summer. Would probably have cost about £60 million for the two but you’d easily make that back in 2 years on just one of them.

Having them on either side and a decent forward up to and you’d be in business.
