If they are not registered they would not be able to loan them either and the players would be free agents.

I think the issue is that they have some players e.g. Gavi who is still on his old contract at Barca to play for the u23s / B team. They need to get these players on proper contracts or they will be able to leave Barca for free soon. His current salary is apparently 85k a year (yes, a year). He has been offered a bumper new contract plus a multi-million signing fee but Barca is not allowed to register this contract due to financial issues. They need to get people sold ASAP.

Thelwell remit is to make sure that regardless of what manager is in place the club moves forward, 30 days in the transfer window and not one player through the door to help the collective. Regardless of the Gordon issue, we should had signed at min 2/3 players. Leaving a day and half to sign players is so high risk as evidenced by that snake who diverted to spurs, again Thelwell should have had that under control.

Make or break for him, hope he proves me so so wrong, as so far, all i'm seeing is the same patterns repeat themself.

Just hate this club just take everything from you, other clubs have given other fans hope getting players in. Us wait till lasy minute, just lost hope that we will get anyone in now that will keep us safe

Its not the club its the idiots that are supposed to be running it that makes people feel this way. Whether we have money or not we always leave it until the last day. Especially january.
