Beyond incompetent not having anyone through the door by now, regardless of the Danjuma debacle.
Did they not know Sulemana or Becker existed until today? Or within the last few days? If they’ve only identified them recently then it’s clear they’ve not done sufficient scouting/due diligence and we shouldn’t be spending money on them. If they did know about them, why wait until the last possible moment to try and sign them when all the teams around us are strengthening? All questions that should be posed to the club but are sadly too long to put on a bedsheet.
Reckon the Rennes lad decides against us, Union Berlin turn us down for leaving it too late, and we end up with free transfer Andre Ayew as our only signing. Championship here we come.

….absolutely. At this stage, if we bring a few in I honestly think it’s as much down to luck as judgement. There’s clearly no plan in place, our future might be down to them being lucky.

Ok so I'm £5m off but not the £15m you claimed. Doesn't matter anyway, Spurs get who they want and we just continue to get progressively worse. Awful times to be an Everton fan these and it's going to get much worse this year.
Last year we were in the exact same situation and still got Dele on DvB in. They were both a bit crap to put it mildly but on paper at least they solved problems. That's the kind of thing we can hope for today i guess and still call the past week a relative success. Fingers crossed and fume gas masks donned
