At no point did I say any of them were better than Wood. Wood is a good championship striker. He’s a big lump at the wrong age for us, if you look at his stats he’s on the way down.

2 this season, 3 last season in a Newcastle team scoring a good number of goals.

All I am saying is we would / should look elsewhere.

He simply isn’t what we need. For the money he would cost. He’s not an Everton type player. He simply wouldn’t improve us. He’s not mobile, we’ve a number of players like that… and yeah for the record I think DCL is better than Wood.

I would also look at Eddie howes transfer record at Bournemouth when they spent big, utterly terrible. All that money on the Liverpoo reserves!

Repeating myself here but we don't just need a forward we need some creativity from deeper another play maker whether that's a wide player or a creative midfielder who can weigh in with goals. We are currently getting no assists from our wingers or full backs, Iwobi is the only one creating.
