As soon as AG put a transfer request in before Southampton we should of had the deal wrapped up, instead of trying to convince him to stay till then end of the season. Lampard leaving and what happened with him at the boxing changed his mind and forced everton to make the trasnfer happen, he wasn't happy with everton and scared of the fans.

Like always leave things last minute so we can say we never had time but in reality AG could of been sold 2 weeks prior
