Player Valuation: £50m
Not a chance Maddison is leaving Leicester to come here, plus he'd cost at least double that £30m!And play him where? You fancy benching Iwobi, a near-£30m purchase, in favour of another £30m purchase?

Exactly.
Iwobi is actually one of our better players. Why spend £30m or £40m on Maddison, who can only be accommodated in his preferred position / role by benching Iwobi? That doesn't cure the issues out wide, does it.
Plus spending the amount necessary to secure Maddison would almost certainly exhaust our entire budget. Shall we go back to having to sell because we're in breach of financial rules?
Enjoying the new FM? lolEndrick
He was playing for Norwich and he turned down a move to Everton? Obviously not ambitious or lacking brain cells. He turned us down.
We need some goals/creativity in the team, if we don't we will right down there imo, you really think Maupay is going to score us the goals needed to stay up mate?I'm not really worried about us signing anybody new this upcoming window. Prices are inflated in January and we are on track for where we wanted to be for the season so far.
Unless it's a genuine coup or a savvy loan I'm happy with the squad we have and can look to have a strong summer transfer window to help us push on.
I got the impression we baulked at the fee...if it even got that far - £17M, iirc.He turned us down.
That ship will have most likely sailed sadly. He was one of the best performing players in the Champions League group phase for a team who were no great shakes. He'll have much better teams than Everton in for him now.Mohammed Kudus please. Ta.
We're solid and hard to beat, for the most part, we just lack goals. A couple of forwards will transform our season.
