I would have love to have seen some money spent...but what's going with the premier league is slowly becoming an unstainable model that will depend on having billionnaires to support the expenditure. Some clubs might end folding as a result...Chelsea has broken football in this country for the foreseeable...its slowly becoming a super league of riche billionaires.

I would bring Deli Ali back TBH. If we can't get a tune out of him there isn't anywhere else to turn to at this point.

Look it was always going to come down to whether dyche can get the team going, if he doesn't we're done and the 2-3 mediocre/desperate signings we might have signed today aren't going to have a bearing on that....so for me it's as it was.....damage was done when lampard was left in charge for the last 5 winnable games

There's big then there's the biggest spend in any season ever...in European football

The whole point was to restrict teams from extravagantly spending. But since it's come in...there's been more £100mill players than ever...and now a team has spent £500+mill in a season.

It's a huge example of it not working and why football is dead in my eyes

The point was to stop clubs spending beyond their means. Chelsea obviously believe with amortisation they can balance the books meaning they're spending within their means.

£100M players were always on the books as more and more money pours into the game. That inflation of prices has been pretty much a constant since the advent of transfer fees.

Wasn’t long ago most on here though Dom was one of the best strikers around, I have never rated him I think he’s average but average striker still score goals.

I’m not sure of how good he was before his body broke down, but that doesn’t matter, because the one we have now can barely break into a sprint. And I can say pretty confidently, that he will suffer with injury before the end of the season.

Realistically the fans aren’t going to be positive after this, so let’s just get that clear from the outset. There isn’t going to be a repeat of last year with fans proactively lifting them, the fans don’t have it in them to do it again, and the mood has changed from desperation to anger. You’re right though that if dyche can create a siege mentality and the team fight and scrap to some good results then the crowd could get behind them enough to give them a chance.

Yes - there's no other option but to massively get behind the team, nothing else makes any sense - otherwise there's little point in spending time following the club
