Dyche 'considering' Ayew move

Everton manager Sean Dyche will 'consider a move' for free agent Andre Ayew after the Blues failed to recruit any players during the January transfer window.

There was hope additions to the team would be on the way after the sale of Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United, though no players were forthcoming on deadline day.

Now faced with a lack of options in the final third, the Times have claimed Dyche is considering a deal for the ex-Swansea City and West Ham forward.

A seperate report by the Guardian has stated the Blues are now 'in talks' with the 33-year-old.

Bring back the Martinez song: Dyche had no money so he signed our players for freeeeeeeeeee :)

Probs gonna get pelters for this lol but..

...we could do worse than offer Isco a short term contract I reckon given the circumstances.

Thought he was the work permit problem, because the league he’s been playing in doesn’t categorise him as a professional footballer when it comes to permits etc. Hence why he scored for fun out there.

It could be worth looking to recall some of the loans if that's possible, given the circumstances

I'm not sure Moise Kean would actually help the squad morale though. Dobbin is another one although maybe not going to add much to our firepower

Branthwaite also, although we have plenty of centre backs
It could be worth recalling loans. Before going through them saying they aren’t worth recalling. Excellent ?

If we’d made serious attempts to secure players early before:

We sacked our manager
We were in the relegation zone
We had the fan/players/board fallout
Appointed Dyche

then we wouldn’t be in this mess.

People will say we needed the Gordon money but last year we had Mykolenko sewn up as we knew we could sell Digne. (Awful deal I know but at least it was planned correctly).

If we'd have kept Lampard and secured the couple he looked to have secured (Danjuma signs on the dotted line post West Ham game, another - possibly Dembele - ready to be signed on the Monday according to Tofeenut) we'd have had a far better chance of getting out of the relegation zone than right now.

We went to sign 8+ players last night. And Dyche was at Finch Farm until 10pm
My guess is the stories came out last night about our attempts to sign players but we had been making contact for several days before.

Either way it was a remarkable day.
If AG had not been sold I don't think it would have been such a big surprise/disappointment. But it does smack of complete ineptitude by the DOF or to be fair to KT it may simply be a man trying to operate with both hands tied behind his back by the owner/board.

It is hard to know what went wrong, in the case of many of the players mentioned I am glad nothing happened but that isn't the point really. But it does sound somewhat as if we were offering championship terms for Premiership players.
I cannot help but feel that we are still operating in the wrong market.

I am not sure we were ever going to sign players ready to step straight into the team simply because the manager was only appointed over the weekend and he probably has not even decided on his first team yet. In our situation signing players from abroad was always high risk but for instance I do not understand why we did not push for the lad from Coventry.

As others have already said it is hard to see how the board can survive this hard to see how they will be able to attend home games even.

The very least that is needed is a statement outlining where the club currently stands and not just a bland statement that says nothing at all of relevance.

My own feeling is that Moshiri will sell before the summer or be forced to sell and the board will stay until everyone leaves together.
It may even be that he might retain a minority stake although the probability of relegation must have an enormous effect on the selling price.

Ironically the one winner is Sean Dyche who now has the sympathy of most Evertonians after the debacle yesterday and the support of some that may not have supported him before.

The events of this month at the club is that for once at least we have appointed the right man to deal with a club in absolute crisis.
