If I was running Everton FC, I would ban the club from paying a transfer fee for anyone over the age of 25.

I dont think its a problem paying a transfer fee for players over 25, its the overall amount of the deal that's important. We have overpaid for players who were not worth the money and given them massive wages, so moving them on is very difficult. Ultimately the people running the club have been idiotic, like Leeds in the late 90's and early 00's, which ended in their relegation and going into administration.

Ings is a different league to McNeil and Maupay
His injury record also seems to be over-exaggerated looking at his appearance stats by season
I’d have him on a permanent without piss take wages on a 3 year deal no problem at all
