Maybe I am looking for positives where there are none. Does anyone think letting Gomez and Allan go was a mistake? I know Gomez wasn't really the same after his injury but I always thought Allan gave it his haul and was an Anchelotti player after all and he should know a good player when he sees one. I think Allan in holding midfield would have been a better option than Gueye.

I think letting Richy go was a mistake...he'd be well up for this fight and we spent half the money on Maupay and McNeil anyway so a very poor deal
Gomez and Allan were finished by their bad injuries

Think you're right in regards Allan and Gomez. Losing Richarlison left a massive void and not having a replacement lined up sums up those idiots at board level. It's why I think we will go down this season. We don't have Richy and his goals really kept us up.

and his fight. His attitude was contagious to both fans and players, even the manager. Tbf he's a tough player to replace but to get maupay instead is a joke. Also 60mil was an insult(again pointing to our idiotic board), nearly 100mil for mudryk last week and he's proved nothing yet. Anyway, I miss Richy :(

Birds of a feather flock together....
Why would birds flock together...?
Perhaps if they saw food, perhaps seed...
Seed could be the past tense of see, if you couldn't really speak English....
See sounds like Sea, could it be Brighton?

But birds also eat Bread, a Scouse sitcom, so could it be a scouse team. Everton?

But Bread goes in a Bread bin
ITS THE BIN!!!

Get in it Everton.

I am not even sure they acknowledged the role filled by Richarlison since they signed no one that had a prayer of replacing his scoring or general ability to make plays in the box. After the near disaster a year ago they somehow decided they just needed defense and not scoring after Richarlison was sold.

RLC would be the most likely of that group imo. Gallagher would be brilliant too though. Double swoop!
RLC is a waste of space that Chelsea are just waiting for some club to make a fool of themselves with. About to turn 27, has played less than 200 career games and less than 20 career goals for an attacking midfielder. I'm sure he's very wealthy, but he could have had a great career if he'd been willing to take the break from them when it was pretty obvious they didn't see him as a special player that had to be in the team.

Who thought thought these would help?

McNeil - Nobody wanted and zero end product (relegated side)
Neal Maupay - Never been prolific and not wanted by a small club, yet we take him.
Conor Coady - Can't play in certain setups. Leadership decent but ability lacking.
Ruben Vinagre - Pointless journeyman footballer.
James Tarkowski - Decent if your biggest aspiration is mid-table.

The mind boggles!
