Koeman and Silva spent £300million between them and both had problems defending and scoring. Koeman ended up with a mess of a squad (his and Walsh's own doing).

Silva's side was incredibly weak. Nice on the eye but when the pressure build they'd crumble conceding goals. Cruising 2.0 then losing 3.2 or being rolled over 5.2 in a derby and 6.2 at spurs. For the money spent, he wasn't really an improvement over Martinez.

Koeman and Silva had expectations to compete for Europe and give the big guns a game. If you look at what Newcastle are doing now is probably what we expected and what they failed to deliver

They all done a shocking job, it’s just our standards are so low at the moment that they were above what we have now.
