We did the same with Onana tbf
Difference between onana and outara is that onana has all the attributes to be successfull in the premier league...physicality, youth and more importantly head...he is full belgian international and now a regular in the squad including appearances in the world cup.

Tbf to thelwell from what ‘bobble’ was saying on his podcast it sounds like he has an impossible job. Who on earth would want to come to us now, we can’t even offer the big money anymore.

It doesn’t seem likely that we are going to get any real quality in does it - and feel signings like wood/Fraser which I imagine will be the market we eventually end up in late in the window will just be another McNeill/maupay situation.

God it’s depressing.

27.5 is a lot of money for a player that really only started to perform this year in the French league. I would have walk away at that price.
The market is completely crazy. In some ways it’s better we’re unable to participate in it. No other leagues are spending money on players at all, it feels like a lot of English clubs are going to be stuck with a lot of expensive, well paid players they can’t shift. Recipe for a bubble bursting. Feels like we’re just ahead of the curve.

Players who need a chance to play and advance their careers. Young players. Guys with talent who are buried for whatever reason. There are loads of good players who can be found. We aren't doing the work.

We had done that but only spent that on overpriced average PL based footballers.

We are not the only club that is going to be looking at these players and the difference is that other clubs can offer a financial package towards these players whereas we can't. We have no money. Also a number of reports have said about players not wanting to get involved in a relegation battle which is fair enough.

We've got crap team and crap board Billy love....believe me we're all very much awake to the situation even the plebs at the club.
Sure but just accepting it and making zero changes to try and turn it around is unacceptable. Moshiri needs to step up if he doesn't want his asset to severely depreciate
