The transfer window opened at the start of January. That wasn’t the date to start scouting for players! Why is it that we wait as long as possible before making the signings we desperately need?! The fans weren’t chasing cars at that point. So to now say that is a reason players aren’t coming is laughable. I have zero experience working at a football club, but I could done a better job of recruiting than we have, just by the games I watch on tv! It’s really depressing that we need the changes we do, and even more depressing that those in charge have buried their heads in the sand, for as long as they have! No wonder there were protests!

None of us know exactly what our financial situation is. It is mostly guesswork. Trossard has gone to Arsenal for £21m which does not mean we could not afford that. He would be crazy to choose Everton over Arsenal. Others might make a similar decision if bigger clubs than us come asking. We must be fishing in shallow waters and may catch sod all.
 
There's no point whinging about signings we have already made . They are done and can't be undone .
We can't offer much money upfront for transfers so we ain't signing anyone at the moment . It's far from ideal but it is what it is. After Saturday we have no game until after the transfer window closes. We will pick up 1 or 2 near the deadline when clubs and players become a little more desperate.

I don’t know how long it’s going to take for people to clock that we’ve no money. Why are there no signings? Jeez ?

All our targets are going to teams that can put money down upfront. We’re left having to see what’s left or not wanted by anyone else…then we have to see if we can convince the club to let us have a loan, loan to buy.

Wonder who we’ll end up with.
