Can you help me understand how going from 36 goals conceded in the first 19 games last season, to 23 at the midway point this season is not an improvement in any way, shape or form?

In abstraction, it's an improvement. However, when combined with our goals scored and overall points total compared with this time last year, we have declined, somewhat unbelievably considering how bad we were this time last season. So, I see little to celebrate. Burnley also didn't concede enormous amounts of goals, they now play in the championship.

I can't even remember if he was any good. Monaco at that time had a great squad didn't they? Sold a fair few of them but I don't remember him even playing a game for Chelsea so not sure what he does

Moshiri has to throw bazookas at this situation. It looks like we're seeing the beginning of that process now.

Attackers, yes. But IMO we would be transformed by a proper wing back who could get us forward quickly and put quality balls in.
