It won't be anything like 50m now, but anything around 30m has to be considered. We can't keep looking the gift horse in the mouth: any good money for an academy player is pure profit and great for the accounts, and gives us a budget for a player who can help us more now than he is doing.
I think from Newcastle they'll structure a lot of their deals on cash outright, simply because they can. I could see £40m + add-ons as a very real price that will secure him for them, I don't think he's worth that much but if it's £30m like you said then I could see the likes of Chelsea coming and basically saying "why not?" for that price.

Regardless whatever it is, like you said it's pure profit, along with near £30m for Kean coming too I think we'd have a nice safety net to reinvest where we needed. Think we could easily go for a creative midfielder, winger replacement and a striker if we sold Gordon, as well as having Danjuma like I said. That's 4 players effectively for the price of 1, that 1 being a player that doesn't really pull up any trees for us anyway.

Potentially the biggest transfer in the clubs history in terms of how significant it is, sell him and there's a decent chance we can stay up, be stubborn and keep him then I don't think he adds the fire power that we need to stay in this division compared to the potential 3 players that would in effect replace him.

Getting £40m-£50m will help flashen up our squad.

If Richy wanna to come back in the summer, we can have him back for around the same price i.e. £50m.
I don't think we'd get him back at all, he'd be a bit mad if he wanted to really. If it doesn't work out for him at Spurs he could easily get a CL level club in Spain, Italy or a squad player at PSG.

£40m up front £10m add-ons will do.

Seems like Gordon to Newcastle is gathering a lot of steam thankfully. Genuinely whatever you think of the lad if there's deals anything close to the £50m quoted then we'd be mad not cash in. We could reinvest that straight away in at least 3 players as well as apparently already having Danjuma. Quite frankly it gives the chance to legitimately save the club. It's in everyone's best interests, even if he somehow turns out to be a world beater £50m for what he is currently is a great deal for us.

Please take the money and help keep us in the Premier League. Please.
Your talking about Everton mate

The board would get the 50m and splurge it on drugs leaving us with Paul Gascoigne on cortisone injections

If we are in Euro he may come back but for now unlikely unless he hates it at Spurs. He still hasn’t scored a PL goal and was sitting on the bench.

Not arsed about Gordon going he's a legend in his own lunchtime. Kid must have a huge ego we have seen one decent season from him where he worked hard and scored a couple of goals, I don't think he's ever going to be more than pretty good. Too much hype too soon and that Chelsea chat has gone to his head
