I agree with the premise but that is his job to fix and if he can't seem to do it he needs to go too.

The timing of this sacking is symptomatic of the absolute disastrous way the club is being run. Leave Lampard there for a further week to help get a few signings in or sack him before the World Cup. They do neither.

They continually manage to get things wrong and how this window has been managed is another glaring example.

I’m no champion of him and I’ve been less than impressed with what I’ve seen of his work but the current situation feels ridiculous , which is in itself about right for us

Kudus, Sulemana, Ndiaya, Moffi all on the list. Whoever else is on it we'll need 3 attackers.

Just need to rinse Newcastle on Gordon and get some dross out the door for fees.

I have more sympathy for thelwell in this sense than I did brands. Brands extended his contract and accepted a seat on the board so he couldn’t really use the ‘they won’t let me do my job’ excuse. I can imagine that the ‘strategic review’ led to moshiri agreeing that he was going to take a backseat and saying the DoF and sharpe would handle the football stuff, only to do what he loves doing and diving head first into things to cause carnage at the first opportunity.

That’s not a defence of thelwell, I have no idea whether he’s any good and instinctively I lean towards him not being. I honestly don’t see how anyone can succeed while the owner is an absolute head the ball though.

Just have to suck it up and not wallow now, we have to salvage what we can from the window, if there is adversity we need to confront it head on and try to progress in the next week, planning for the next four months with 18 games to play is critical.
 
What's so galling about all these bungles kenwright is probably completely oblivious of the grim reality living in his bubble still thinking hes the pinnacle of club executives and this was minor setback and just matter of time he will be arrangeing some exciting loans
