The boy walks into our defence.

Im confident Dyche will want to see him in preseason.
The only reason Dyche likes Keane so much I'm convinced is because he pops up with the odd goal, because in a higher line Michael Keane defensively is abysmal. Brathwaite with his ability in the air both in front of ours and the oppositions goal fixes that for us. I'm confident Dyche will utilize him well this season, especially next to Tarkowski.

He couldn't wait for Coady to make a couple of mistakes before hooking him and yet Keane made mistakes week after week and Keane kept his place.

I'd love Branthwaite to be given a right go , but it terrifies me if Keane is still here.

JB wants to leave Everton? Is this any type of credible source? In my view he stands a good chance of starting alongside Tark this year We need to keep JB, so foolish to bail out on a strong talent.
footballinsider is their source. And if you follow the link to footballinsider, It just says ‘sources’ and zero quotes. Just suggests he wants to play week in week out, which he will likely get with us.

He has said (and there is actual quotes out there) that he would be open to staying at PSV but it’s Everton’s right to not sell him.

I think they are pushing that openness to stay at PSV as him wanting to leave to try and manufacture a move (West Ham are supposedly interested).

If this is true that he wants out then I wonder if he or his agent have got wind of the fact that Everton have someone else lined up to be the regular starter with Tarkowski? Possibly he doesn't fancy the risk of a season on the bench.

Or he is an ambitious young footballer and we have nothing to offer but another season of turmoil and relegation battles.

I would expect that what Branthwaite said is being twisted to make a story.
We know that he said he wants to play and I don't think would be happy sitting on a bench at Everton.... or anywhere else. I think he thinks if he isn't going to get a game at Everton then there is no point in staying.... if he isn't going to start then he will probably be loaned again or maybe sold if the price is right.

We do need to be cautious about what he has to offer at this stage in his development.
He did well at PSV since Christmas but could not get into their team before then. The Dutch league is not exactly the strongest in Europe either.

Our own Lee Carsley does not deem him good enough to get a game with the under 21s at the moment.

I see people putting him immediately into our team based on very little. Let the manager see him in pre season and then decide.

I mean that’s not true.

And he was also injured for the U21 international games in March.

Actually it is true.
If you remember there was talk in January that the loan was being cancelled because he was not getting enough minutes on the field.
PSV were allowed to keep him because they promised he would play more after Christmas.

I am talking about the under 21s games being played at present, two games gone and no minute on the pitch although on the bench.

Yeah Liverpool are interested. Next! Are there any other players the media want to sell?
