2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

A “strange” setback?

What’s the harm in saying what the original injury was, and what the secondary setback is? Why always so cloak and dagger these days? Dyche can still refuse to put a date on players returning.

The original injury was stated as a “minor groin issue” and this is a “secondary injury” which may or may not be related. Either way, Dyche confirmed he’s definitely not in the squad for Leicester which means, chances are, he won’t be starting against Palace a week later.

He might get back amongst the squad for the Newcastle game on the 5th October (hopefully) but, I suspect if we’re being cautious with him, it’s more likely we’ll now only see him after the next international break, away to Ipswich on the 19th. Big blow.

It's almost like they are being deliberately vague about it because the manager pushed him far too quickly into the gaffer's day nonsense on his initial return, resulting in a lengthy re-injury. But I'm sure it's definitely not that.
