2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Apparently Southampton are demanding £100m for that Dibling kid nobody knew about eight months ago. That surely boosts Branthwaite's valuation up to at least £160m, probably more.

Can see the other lot having a bid .....
They can bid all they like, the fact of the matter is Everton under new ownership and going into a brand new stadium aren’t selling our best player to our bitter rivals. It’d be a PR disaster and the knives would be out for TFG from the off.

Hes been in the England youth squads since the u16s in Dec 2021. He'll be well known and the top clubs will have waited until seeing what he can do in the premier league.

Branthwaite and Dibling are two very different players, in different positions at different clubs.

They might be demanding £100m but if he's the only saleable asset he'll go for about £30m.

All depends what the player wants and Southamptons play for a quick return to the premier league.

What ive always said is that we must keep branthwaite and sign more English young players to eventually play for the national team.

That will attract more similar players to the club each year.

I think they will be selling more than they buy. A few smart PSR sales like the kids to help smooth over the financial situation. I’ll be surprised if they drop £30/40m on players tbh, never mind £100m on JB.
Didn't Radcliffe say there was a real risk they'd have no money by last Xmas or summat? Agree unless they punt Mainoo or Garnacho they're not likely to go BIG elsewhere. But they've navigated round PSR before where others suffered so who knows ?🤷🤷

Yep it's a statement of intent. We've had several opportunities, Rooney was one, Lukaku was another. We could have built teams around these players but we missed the opportunity. If we could get a good young midfielder and a good young forward we could get the spine of a team for years to come. Players like Branthwaite don't come along very often and we need to make the most of the opportunity.

Yep, I think they can raise working capital from them two. £100m or some shrewd Saudi sales for Anthony, Sancho or Rashford will give them some breathing space. They can raise working £200m+ from

- Mainoo
- Rashford
- Antony
- Garnacho

Whether anyone believes they are worth ~£50m each, a different question.

At which point when they're selling their potential does JB go there ?
