I think James May will carry on doing his other programmes on BBC2, which have generally been pretty good tbf.

Clarkson will take a bit of time off from regular tv and just do journo bits, then come back and do something which has nothing to do with cars or being racist. Probably on Sky1.

Hammond will cling to Top Gear as though his life depends on it because everything else he's ever done has been terrible. And when the new Top Gear bombs he'll say it's because the others left (and not because he stayed).

In depends on what you mean by "good". If you mean he was "good" at being Jeremy Clarkson, I agree absolutely. He is. He's the best Jeremy Clarkson ever. In that respect, he's extremely talented.

By most other measures though, he really isn't. And that's why I call Top Gear fans who can't see past Jeremy Clarkson idiots, and the fact you've had a million of them sign a petition after he beats a guy up, like he's the victim for some reason, proves the point. Oh, and then sending the BBC chief death threats of course, which was expected.

I'll make a distinction thought - those who like a motoring show that looks at new cars and has a level of humour in it, fair play, that's fine. However, those who idolise Clarkson as somebody the show can't possibly be without... I class as braindead idiots.
