Jermaine Jenas.

would be a great deal if it happened, he has both strength and mobility could see him doing well under moyes.

I'd take him for the money quoted. I think he gets lazy sometimes but that's something Moyes has a track record of rectifying. Wouldn't get into the team but would be a good player for suspensions/injuries

I think this is just lazy journalism of the 2 + 2 = 5 kind.

Moyes expressed an interest a few seasons back, he's a little unsettled at Spurs (I imagine everyone bar defoe is a little unsettled at Spurs) and therefore the story doesn't look like a total crock of [Poor language removed] at first glance - until you remember we have no money, couldn't afford his wages and Spurs would want more like 9 million for him.

Until the day that journalists have to cite and name sources - anyone can write whatever they want - sometimes unsettling players, and getting fans hopes up.

There was a story in the papers the other day of us going for Alan Smith - on a newcastle forum everyone was going on about swapping him for baines - how [Poor language removed] deluded are they? I think we'd want some serious cash back from that deal, especially as baines has made his long awaited break into the first team.

Just the other day, Redknapp was moaning about his players not having enough bottle to scrap out wins.

I would've thought Jenas was one of the few players that you could depend on - much more so than Modric, Bentley, Lennon, Bale, Dos Santos : most of his midfield options...

Why's he suddenly wanting rid of a 20 time England International on the cheap?!...

He's probably under the cosh to play Modric (who is very average in the Prem IMO) and other players they spent alot of cash on over the summer.

Wobbly Head will clear house in the summer. Modric, Pavlechenko, Jenas, Bent and others will probably see the door for reasonable prices in the summer IMO. Just look at the bench against Wigan - Bentley, Huddlestone, Bent, Lennon, Jenas - all England internationals or have been capt but not getting a sniff cos Lazy Eyes doesnt think they're putting the effort in.

But if we can get Jenas I'd defo have him. He'll just add the quality in depth we need.

I do think he's a decent little player. Not had the best few season but moyes would get him playing agin. It's what he does best.

Thing is thou.....

He's more of an attacking midfielder an we have two of the best in the country at that. Cahill an Fellaini. So where does he play..?

heirs other parts of the team that needs to be strength'nd 1st.

I think this one is a no go......

But would'nt be to disapointed if it happend.

I agree there's other area's that need to be strengthened but I just dont see why we cant bolster the squad in areas we've got covered if the price is right and the players are good. All the top teams have 3-4 players covering the one position - Manure for eg: Strikers - Rooney, Berbs, Tevez, Welbeck, Ronaldo. Centre mid - Scholes, Anderson, Giggs, Carrick, Fletcher, Hargreaves.

Jenas, Pienaar, Arteta, Fellaini, Cahill, Osman, Neville, Rodwell, Castillo - would look a tidy technically gifted midfield. Just needs a pacy out-and-out winger.

But yeah, wont happen.

Jenas, Pienaar, Arteta, Fellaini, Cahill, Osman, Neville, Rodwell, Obinna and Lucho.

Could've had Obinna this season if the FA accepted Olympic games eligible for his work permit. Something I bet you will change if we get a GB Olympic footy team.

Other two......probably not.

Do you really believe we could get Jenas, Obinna and Lucho Gonzalez??

I believe we could get Obinna on loan - but its a long shot as he recently announced he wanted to stay and fight for a place.

I think Jenas if he is available for 3.5 million would be a steal - and could even force Moyes to go back to the board and say "look this deal is too good to be true"

Lucho not in a million years - we'd need 15 - 20 millon by all accounts.

I can dream can't I.

Sorry, never saw it. Looked like people still thought he would come on loan

No worries mate.

I live in hope (of Obinna coming) - sometimes media statements are baloney eh?

Not that I've seem him play ever, just if Moyes wants him and he's good enough to be on Milans books - he's hardly gonna be canned [Poor language removed] is he.
