2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

Think their is a player in Lindstrom. Thought he would kick on after the Spurs game. Having to fill in defensively will effect his output in the final third somewhat but just don't think he is physical or brave enough for this league

Apart from the cross he made on the pass that Charly overhit, he really couldn't get into the game. I think his delivery is generally pretty good and he does well even cutting onto his weak foot but there needs to be an end product that comes with it at some point. I am happy that at least for the moment though we have somebody decent on the right side. That is typically one of our worst positions.

He's simply not good enough and he's had more than enough opportunities to prove his worth. Really hard worker, great attitude and clearly liked around the place, yet the quality isn't there and doesn't look like he's got it in his locker to help us step up next season. Happy it was only a loan we had him in on, but unless he turns into Messi over the next two months the club shouldn't even consider making the move permanent at any price. Go back to Napoli in an emergency but there's no way we should be in a position to need to be crawling back for him. Nice lad, not good enough.

He *has* improved since Moyes got here (hasn't everyone?) but I'm still not seeing enough to consider him a worthwhile permanent signing. Ok, maybe he isn't playing in his preferred position but he'd probably never play that here anyway.

With 11 games to go, it's a no from me

Think we have to start looking at him in a different position. He is and never will be a winger. Will he be better than any of our CM/AM players? Not so sure. Think Moyes likes him but he will never be a good winger for us because he has never been a winger

Would like to see him in that number 10 role, technically good and can pick a pass out.

Want him to do well, lovely bloke with talent that just doesn't seem to be able to be unlocked, and maybe never will. We could do better in the summer, but it's hard to hate on the lad.
Don't see anyone doing that tbh, just maybe the PL is a bit much for him, games seem to bypass him at times hence we only see flashes of what he can do, he is also very lightweight and could do with bulking up a little bit.

It's funny how times have changed - when we had Moyes Mk1 there were loads of loans that just seemed to fill the squad and barely play.

This season the first team has had a few loans playing a lot of games (Mangala, Harrison , Lindstrom) - which is good value for money I suppose.

Of the loans - Charly seems nailed on but you'd imagine we could do better than Harrison, Broja and Mangala (due to injuries).

Lindstrom at a bargain price or another loan is something to consider.
