2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

Was at the Portugal v Denmark match last night and kept a very close eye on Lindstrom.

First half, I thought he was very mediocre, concentrating mainly on pressing and closing passing channels. Thought his reticence to shoot and take on his man meant that Denmark lacked bite.

The game opened up in the second half and he was taken off just after the hour mark, which I found strange (and so did the Danish fans) as he was really effective in their best period of the game.

Bottom line, the guy has no goal threat whatsoever and is probably best coming on as sub.

That Danish left back that United signed is class.
I get a good look at Lindstrom from close up in the Bullens Rd, the lad is frightened to make a mistake, he never takes on the full back, he prefers to turn and lay it back to O'Brien or whoever is in the vicinity.
He missed a really good goalscoring opportunity about a minute before he was substituted, (I think it was Wolves).
When he was going off, it was like a family member had died, he wants to do well, but I don't believe he's got the physical or mental strength for the premier league.
Compare him to some of the players rampaging up and down the wing at forest.
He's never going to be good enough for where we want to be.

Think that miss was against Leicester where from about 8yds he hit it straight at the keeper when either side would have been a goal.

He looked devastated when he got took off.

….he missed 2 or 3 very easy one-on-ones in his first games where he got in behind the opposition back four. Very poor finishing technique, but he’s not found himself in those positions since.

Very much a 'meh' player, would be much better in a less physical league.

Seems fragile mentallity too....looks terrified to shoot or take forward risks at times.

Move on, not close to what we need.

Rather go for a Championship lad who wants to fight for his life to play for us and succeeed.

Yep, in the league cup that was eggs. Can't remember if it was the 2nd round or the round against Southampton but he missed 2 one on ones and both of them were dreadful efforts.

at the time I thought a goal from him was inevtiable but it seems less likely now

there's still games for him to make an impct. i thought we looked worse without him as an outlet against West ham

i don't think he's going to justify a 20mil spend, but we cant afford to lose snd replace 14 players either

I'd be open to another loan if it's an option as ba back up right winger and attacker, with us spending some cash on a starting quality right winger, ideally a left footed player to go with the vogue of the game
