My first proper season '69-70 , went to nearly all the home games , I had two posters on my bedroom wall Jimmy and Joe Royle , I played number 7 at school coz of him . He was a bit light weight but danced his way around and always looked likely to score . When we got autographs from the players car park Jimmy use to arrive in a yellow E -Type Jag .

....you had to be a fabulous footballer to play a part in that 1970 team. I clearly remember him being the star of the FA Youth Cup winning team (1964 or 1965) and have always that that sides who win that trophy invariably have a special player or two (John Hurst also played CF).

Weirdly I have no recollection of that mate! Nice one.
My best memory of Husband is the most sensational strike when the ball ( a long pass from Tommy Wright around the half way line) dropped over his shoulder and he hit it on the full volley! Incredible technique.
