no more sick of seeing her than any other political type 'news' story. The fact that she is fighting for a good cause is admirable. Why would she need the publicity? In any case, she's been involved with the Gurka's fight for years behind the scenes. The politicians by being the absoloute twonks that they are, have caused the whole thing to be headlines in the news.
Politicians are bottom holes of the highest order, the days of 'honourable' have long gone, they should be ashamed to say that word when they address eachother in that gravy boat that is Westminster.

Opinion (mine): this trip looks like its self serving. This is a poor country with multiple needs that could be better met without the expense of this 'state visit' by Princess Diana sorry Joanna.
No doubt the Nepalese penchant for politeness is behind this adulation - many will have walked many miles to say'thank you' to her. That's all great. Not sure why the cameras are there though. And she sure looks like she's enjoying the attention. She could have accepted their gratitude without all this fuss. I agree with you, BlueLass - politicians are mostly plonkers. But showbiz types do my head in as well - attention junkies.
Just try getting through lifes tribulations without anyone noticing that you're there - that's what the rest of us do...
(Sigh) I dunno. We like to knock the successful in the UK - that's not a pleasant side to our national character. So I'm trying to avoid dissing her for winning.
But it all looks like a luvvies love in right now and gives me an uncomfortable feeling.

Do have concerns about her, it was only a few years ago she was pushing her celebrity at some invention to stop oil tanker spillages. Plenty of tv and docu stuff, but birds and seals dont have medals do they.

Fading stars always latch on to a cause and run it into the ground hoping to get themselves back into the limelight. Hoping that they will get lots of offers flooding in because of it. She may have had the opposite effect, in that i cant see her being taken seriously again.

I'd much rather she was photographed stumbling out of nightclubs, flashed her love-purse when getting into a taxi and sold the rights to her vile 'new-money' trash-fest of a wedding to 'ME ME ME' magazine.
