Not the best of games, but south africa's goal was a peach. And them stupid horns are annoying, doesn't make an atmosphere it ruins it, just sounds like a Wales game or a swarm of flies

I think that'll stir up some ill will toward (God help me for calling them this) Bafana-Bafana. It was relatively nice when Mexico equalised and shut those Vuvuzela blowing tits up.

Actually found it to be a good game and a lovely start to the world cup. The horns add to it in my opinion, just turn the sound down if you don't like it ....you'd do it anyway so as to not hear ITV's top notch commentary :/

Actually, if you listen to the 1974 WC footage you get almost the same atmosphere. The West Germans with their air horns. Maybe I'll get used to it. And hopefully when other nations are playing there'll be less noise.

FFS, I sound like me Grandad.

I like the Vuvuzela, allthough according to wiki:

Vuvuzelas have been controversial.[2] They have been associated with permanent noise-induced hearing loss[3], a possible safety risk when spectators can't hear evacuation announcements[4], potentiality spreading colds and flu germs on a greater scale than coughing or shouting

^ (Thats not good)

So, I had the privilage of attending the opening match... It was an awesome day! Almost 85000 people in the stadium...
The match was average, and the vuvuzelas... I left the match thinking I had just had a brain aneurysm...
In fact, I'm still recovering today!

Consider yourself fortunate. The English who were forced to listening to Alan Shearer haven't recovered yet.
