Regardless of tonight I want us smashing £15m on a top keeper, if Joel then turns out to be boss and keeps him out the team then it's a win win.

He was piss poor tonight with 2 goals and I'm bloody disappointed in him because out of all the chap of late he's been a bit of a shining light.

Put those cock ups behind him and still put some graft in so fair play.

Hardly fair to judge him then when he was new and thrown in sporadically. Since he's had back to back games for us he's not put a foot wrong until tonight.

He may not turn out to be good enough but some people have never liked him and are typically having knee jerk digs. It's like fans saying how great Naismith was after his hat trick against Chelsea. Every player can have a great game or a shocker. Their true quality can't be judged based on isolated incidents.

It just stinks. One bad game suddenly is proof of him being awful? I could use the west ham cup game to state the reverse. Everton fans can be so bloody fickle, reactive and numbskulled. It does my nut in.

Almost all the lads in front have had about 15 bad games in a row. Guess no one's good enough.

Spot on, imagine starting every game knowing that at least 30 shots are going to come in at you and every ball that comes into the box is treated like a hand grenade by the defence.
