Impressed with the way he commanded the box and claimed crosses etc.

Didn't look anywhere near as flappy or as shakey as we've seen him in the past.

The confidence suits him.

must admit I stopped hiding behind the couch after about 50 mins!

Dithering Doug would have been in trouble today a keeper who commanded his box , and had an assistlol
Doug would not be havin itlol
He proved today on his collection of crosses his movement out for the long punt he is better than the Shrek!
Maybe not the answer but the best we have ATM !

Yes not one drink as usual building up for a shandy on New Year's Eve maybe - TBH I was looking for the bleach at half time we were woefullol

No reason to drop him again unless we bring in a new #1

He showed glimpses of this kind of performance last season and it's a beautiful thing seeing a GK reading a cross in to the box and just saying "you know what lads il deal with this" instead of the Howard/Stek approach of freeze on the line and flap your arms in the air.

For me hes more than capable of being the #1 for the remainder of this season, prioritize improving our midfield and attack this january then look into the GK position this summer when we can then have an experienced #1, Joel as the reserve/cup keeper and an ageing Stek playing the squad role.
