I hope he stays.
What he said
I hope he stays.
I hope he stays.
Doubt he'd want to be a number two after finally tasting some level of success in the past 18 months. Stek is older and probably would be better suited as a number two. I'd think Joel has earned being a number one in a mid-table-ish side in the top five leaguesMe too, he's a model pro and the rarity in that he's a half decent keeper, whose happy to be a number two.
I genuinely think he will stay.
He's been in the North West a long time now, so his family must be very settled.
He also seems to be happy to be a back up keeper too. ( he was even back up for a while to that Egyptian clown at Wigan )
By all accounts he's very popular and well liked around the club.
Ali Al-Habsi?
O man, what a mistake saying he is Egyptian...
Most over hyped keeper ever.
Good riddance.
Where was all this hype, I must have missed it.
In 15/16 he came into the side we all had low expectations but he did fine, kept a string of clean sheets. In 16/17 there were no howls of outrage when Stekelenburg was made our number one, but again when Joel came into the team the clean sheets record was excellent and Joel earned his right to wear the shirt for the rest of the season.
His attitude has been great. He really doesn't deserve snidey comments like that.
You're just nasty!Come on, just go and read some of the stuff that was written about him earlier in the thread.
We had one person saying he could see Real Madrid or Barca buying him. We had quite a few putting him in the same bracket as De Gea and Courtois.
He has been hyped to the max.
You're just nasty!
If pickford has howlers I will remind you every game he does!
I will wait in anticipation!I'm just being realistic, Robles is not enough and Koeman agrees with that as well.
He will be out the door this summer. Stek is his boy and will be his back up for Pickford.
I will wait in anticipation!
