John Stones transfer saga

Guys, Stones is going.

I had hoped this was dying a death but obviously it ain't.

Nowt we can do now but screw as much dosh as can from the deal.

In fact, happen the best thing we could do now is let it be known we are listening to offers in the hope another bidder will enter the race and a price war is commenced.

I find it hard to believe that some people are naive enough to think that he won't be sold if the valuation isn't met. History shows that we've always sold our best players if the price is right, and sometimes when it isn't. The only question remaining is what the figure of the valuation is. Since Barnsley have the sell on clause my guess would be £35m.

They wont .
We wont.
You think we'll just roll over at the 2nd bid thats up to you.
The same board had a bid for Baines & Fellani combined....Manu got one of them for how much ?
The lad will be worth double that in another 12 months, whats the hurry ?Any how sooner he stays ...at any price.

I'll be honest I'd love him to stay but just don't have any faith in the board turning down an offer of 30 million for him but suppose the board aspect of the transfer is for another day. In regards to the fellaini/Baines bid I think that was placed in jest it was never going to be considered never mind accepted.

No mate he has a point............. if you read all the journo jarg........ this will turn in to a bidding war.Once/if one of the so called big boys get their hands on him they will not let him go for 4/5 seasons............ then he devalues........... look at Lescott.
Yup. But if we keep him his value will increase and the team should improve as he improves - he is staying unless mad money is offered !

Indeed, im not sure why people think his price will increase, after the Euros the entire England squad will be written off by the media.
