I don't disagree with you wholly. I find it funny that the other two have to be yard dogs because they aren't John Stones. So LOL again.

They don't have to be john stones, but there are certain things I do require of footballers, not being terrified of the ball is one of them, its a small request but still, milky is slighty better than this than jags, and he's a bit more athletic, him and stones can and have played together

Aye I get that and have pondered it myself. Both Jagielka and Distin now will be feeling the pressure.

Still I'd get Stones in there now due to him doing well at the end of last season and because it will make it clear that crap defending won't be tolerated. Once two defenders find some form then we will be sound.

I just think the attention on our club right now, the errors I mean and the 10 goals shipped; if Stones comes in right now and commits the same errors he did himself in pre season; that could shatter his confidence.

A young lad coming in, replacing his club captain who made some errors; pressure that. He is well aware our defence has cost us points ( and martinez). A couple of errors himself, maybe costing us more points, then being dropped?? Not good for the lad.

All ifs and buts yes.... just a thought.
