While some people are spending a day doing business and talking to European regulators about takeovers, acquisitions and their aftermaths I spent a considerable amount of that day trying to deceive my grandchildren into believing that I pop my eyeballs out and manually clean them with a toothbrush everyday.

What do people not understand about a period of exclusivity? It is a standard practise for someone trying to acquire a company.

There is no shame in a period of exclusivity not leading to a sale, just as there is nothing to celebrate in announcing said period.
