he has done f- all so far this season. don't know why he is pissed. two assists and missed an open goal. we would be killing any other striker on form like that.

pop quiz.. when was his last everton goal?

good quessy.

I dont know, maybe pre season? But then again it would probably be last season.

He'll come good.

Arsenal in March what do I win?:P
I dont think he`ll be dropped I dont see the point in that.AJ suffers from his willingness to work the corners and give our at times limited midfield an out.Johnson does not need to be dropped he needs more games like the one tonight to get a couple of goals. All strikers go through dry periods just look back to Lineker when he joined us.Keep him in keep the faith DM.

answer..

saturday MARCH 18th against arsenal. 15 premier league games ago.

and no goals in pre season either.

it also states that Moyes is concerned about a slight knock and will not risk him. With Faddy on fire and looking more likely to score than AJ, Moyes IMO is right about rotating the forward line.

i'll lob you some e credits after we beat metalist tonight!

so just to underline... it's been over 6 months now since johnsons last goal.

how much running in the corner do we really need???

He's hardly dishing out Beattie style performances though is he, wasn't he under the knife in the summer over an ankle complaint?

Played through the end of last season with it as well if I'm not mistaken, perhaps it's effecting his game and needs to rest it off? the guy hasn't been given a rest since he's joined to be fair.

Yeah agree if hes got a knock then yes, stick on the bench but in some of the papers it says he`ll be dropped which I cant see the sense.
Nothing wrong with McFadden going up front I`ve got a bit of time for him and I think he does the unexpected, like I posted before we have options.

ah f*** off Tep. He has nearly scored his past 2 games. Scholes cleared one off the line for Christ sake. Shut up.

No one should be guaranteed a place in the side and we are starting to get enough depth that we can rotate players now out of choice rather than neccessity. AJ hasn't been in great form so why not give someone else a go.

I honestly think he gives us more movement up front than others, more for defenders to worry about I just think its a type of game he needs. But I do agree nobody should be a shoe in.

One of the complaints in recent times has been our long ball tactics, especially from defence. In order to do that with any success you need either a big target man or a guy running the channels. Maybe with AJ out of the team we'll play a more passing game because that easy route out won't be there?

Competition for places can only be a good thing in my opinion so lets see how we get on minus AJ.
