Johnsons Dives - Fulham

I think Arteta has learned a lot from Beckham. If you can't get past someone or are about to lose the ball, put yourself between them and it so that they can't help but make contact/trip you. Technically it's not a dive, but it is pretty snidey, and i'd rather he concentrated more on trying to keep team possesion than trying to gain an advantage in such a way. I guess this is another of the negative aspects of 'professialism' :(

Never a diver in my opinion and became a victim of match officials that affected his mentallity on the playing field. It would be sods law however if he did take a dive in todays game.

i don't think AJ ever dived for us. There are some clips of him at palace that are pretty much undeniable dives, but i can't remember seeing any clear dives from him while he wore an everton shirt. I'd like to think the reason is that moyes set him straight, and showed him that its not the everton way, but lets be real here, the most likely reason he wouldn't dive, is that it didn't do him any good! What's his incentive to dive if he knows its just going to bring about ridicule from the fans, and he most likely won't get a call.

and on the subject of diving, some of you find yak's dives humorous, but i find them disgusting and embarassing, and i really wish moyes would immediately drop him every time he tries that bullshit. while i can see the humor in his pathetic attempts at dives, diving still tarnishes the reputation of our football club, which in my opinion is no laughing matter

He NEVER took a dive for us. In what way were any of the "some clips" "undeniable"? I never saw him take a dive for you either. Hmmm? Does that mean AJ isn't a diver? Seems like it to me.
For your interest, the diving Bollocks was actually started by that flat nosed [Poor language removed] Bruce when he was still at Birmingham. We beat them home and away in our most recent relegation year, at Selhurst 2-0, courtesy of two penalties that Flat nose, whilst not actually denying they were penalties, made the point that he (AJ) was easy to put to ground, in an interview that night on MOTD. Fling enough shyte at the wall and some of it sticks.
Your point about Moyes "having a word" that "it's not the Everton way"
doesn't seem to be working with Yak does it. Why would he speak to AJ and not Yak?
It certainly isn't the Everton way and hasn't been for as long as I can remember. It isn't the AJ way either. Sadly, last Saturday at Selhurst, I saw a hideous example from Shefki Kuki which scraped us a home point against Wednesday. I was ashamed until I saw that beacon of sportsmanship Gerard the other night.

he got volleyed up the arse by Ooijer, at blackburn, in the penalty box. nothing given, yet again.

sickner.

and you see Stevie 'the main G' Gerrard giving it a touch of the Ronaldo's and he commands a penalty every time.
