What more do you want from a kid thrown in to a team in the middle of an awful run .the lad done nothing wrong he is up for it every game he never hides he looks like a winner even when they scored to night he's the one getting them going again encouraging older players he got a bit bollocks about him and won't let players bully him I like what am seeing

He is getting better and better after a slightly ropey start. He is actually a very good defender. I am going to say it and upset a few people but I believe he is showing better defensive qualities than Seamus.

Before you jump on my back I would rather see Seamus at right back for his overall play

He will be a great full back. Just needs to get his long punts down the line more accurate or cut them out, as he does them repeatedly.

Love the fact he was willing to take a yellow to stop the counter. Proper professional foul to take away their momentum.

Solid again. Absolutely loved him diving in to chop Olsson down and stop him carrying on and taking the yellow. You could see he'd already made his mind up when he lost the ball in the corner (which could have been a foul by Olsson in the first place) that he was going to stop him by fair means or foul. Absolutely no backward step from him either when Fer tried to bounce over to him and great to see all the young lads come over to him aswell. From being a team with no fight a few weeks ago, the difference in the attitudes of the players is there for all to see.

Great problem now when Seamus is back and I think it will be great for Seamus to have to work even harder to get back into the team.

Love his attitude and that bit of snide has been missing from our team for years now. Don't win games been nice.

Love the fact all the young lads got involved when Fer put it up to him. Look like a proper team now

So were a lot of us Carra.

Jonjoe Kenny deserved more of a chance under Ronald Koeman, says Jamie Carragher.
The Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool defender says he was “screaming” for the 20-year-old to be given a run of games.

Koeman picked Kenny for his final game in charge - the 5-2 defeat at home to Arsenal in October - and has been a league ever present since.
Carragher heaped praise on Kenny following last night’s 3-1 win over Swansea City in which the young full-back was fouled to earn the Blues a second-half penalty, from which Wayne Rooney scored.

“This lad has come into the team. I was screaming for him to get a chance under Koeman,” Carragher said.

“He was excellent at the other end of the field today [in attack].

“It’s all what he deserved. He’s come into the side and has got his chance.

“He’s associated with being a touch tackling defender, but he’s helped them get a goal.”
