Honestly, he didn't play badly and he gave it his all like he always does but he just isn't Coleman who is a top quality full back.

Its his rate of progression that has impressed me he has improved significantly over the time he has been in the team.

This is going to be difficult. Coleman is more all round than Kenny but I have no doubt in my mind that Kenny is a better defender. I have always said Coleman and Baines are great at going forward but are defensively suspect. It would be harsh to drop Kenny but with a player like Coleman it's going to be a dilemma for the manager. Would Kenny accept being dropped with his current form or would he start looking elsewhere because he knows he is a good enough defender to start for a lot of teams. Either of them seem too good to be a back up.

At 1-0 down on Friday night, Kenny was the one most obviously animated and making sure heads didn't drop before the restart.
Not only is he a fine young footballer, he's also got a great attitude.
