The Echo is almost impossible to access online with all the adverts and other annoying displays. I am too mean to buy one. My 3 news apps are BBC, Guardian and Daily Mail because they are all free. . After Pickford’s recent brain freezes I for one would be very tempted to throw Virginia in for the last three games a) gives Pickford the slap down he richly deserves after the last few games, and b) will give Carlo a decent idea of whether he is worth keeping around for the foreseeable!

The hard of learning will be pacified again in the next game or so when man-child makes one decent save.

The immaturity is what I can’t stomach.

He seemed to have calmed down there for awhile but the last 2 games he was a five year old.

He made his reputation for England and I think he’s better suited to the international game - fewer games, high adrenaline, he gets up for that. Maintaining focus and consistency over a 40+game season, not so much.

I trust him more in a WC knockout round than in a festive period match away to Newcastle or West Ham, right?
