He won't need to move house, knows the region and has a wealth of experience that we require. At a minimum, it'd give Pickford a shock to the system.

He's been guranteed number one since he's came with very little or no real competition from the others; it'd be nice to have someone we could trust to join the XI.

I'm actually on the fence a bit now, starting to change my mind because of the players we are being linked with. I am banging on a bit about it but getting the 3 lads in for the midfield just changes the whole outlook of the team.

The soft underbelly might go, confidence will go up throughout the team hopefully and that includes Pickford. As a whole unit I think they'll improve. He might sort his head out. Or could be wishful thinking on my part.

I'm sure others would have him but I think they would pay £20m+ and afford his wages.

Hopefully a decent no 2, pushes him on.

I've said before Pickford isnt a bad keeper - he seems to play well for England but thats because he has pressure and competition on him.

At EFC he has no leaders in the squad to bollock him neither does he have any serious competition for his spot in the team (Virginia & Lossl = LOL)

Get Romero in.

For me wishful thinking. Pickford likes to be the centre of attention. That's why he takes chances with the ball. Never seems to make a save cleanly, always dropping the ball or parrying the ball back into dangerous areas. Too small at corners, teams put a man on him and take him out of the game. His kicking out which was a strong point has now gone erratic. Cost us lots of points last season and didn't seem to learn from his mistakes. Other than that I like him!

Really like the look of Martinez the the Arsenal No2 if we were to buy a new keeper he'd be my choice, think I read somewhere that Arteta has already said that Leno will be 1st choice so that might make him think his future lays elsewhere if he wants 1st team footy.
