I thought that he was fine and would start to improve the little bits of his game that weren't the best, but I'm not seeing any evidence of this.
It is true keepers get better with age so he still has 3/4 years to start hitting his peak, but I don't think he is going to be commanding enough during corners and free kicks and that is going to cost us points, not one or two but lots. Virgínia needs to go on loan to a club that will actually play him and hopefully he can show what Pickford can't.

I felt he did ok against Arsenal, and looked a bit more commanding and decisive when coming for the ball. For me though, he's another 'average' player who has been hyped up and it wouldn't surprise (or bother) me if he was to be sold in the summer.

He’s not a bad keeper, but, he’s nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. If he works hard at his game and listens to his coaches he has a chance of being very good. He is one very annoying tit though.

I’m not a Pickford fan by any stretch but he definitely sits in the “no likeability factor” camp. His antics and how he carries himself is annoying and he doesn’t come over well at all. Doesn’t help himself when he smiles after he makes mistakes either.
It’s the opposite for Bernard who’s dreadful but people like him....
