Since Ancelotti hes been at an elite level practically every game.

The lowest we'd get for him is £40-50mil. But hes clearly a £60mil+ keeper.

Carlo gently giving him a bit of competition does seem to have been a turning point.

He seems to be in ‘nothing will beat me mode’ reminiscent of the back end of last season - remember some incredible saves when we beat Chelsea.

He’s a big game player.

If we stay up then his save against Maddison is the tipping point as if that goes in we’re down.

Pope and Ramsdale can’t hold a candle to him, genuinely weird how some blues just look to criticise him.

Even his coming for crosses has improved due to his decision making maturing. Picks his battles at corners knowing if he can't get it he's much more use on the line to make the saves we all know he can make.

That's his main area of weakness and I'd say he's still better than most keepers at it. Genuinely only Alisson who's better than him overall and even he seems to make more errors than Pickford does nowadays.

Matured into a world class goalkeeper. The best we've had since Southall.

Since Carlo brought him back in after dropping him for Olsen he’s been the most consistent keeper in the league and made absolutely massive saves two seasons in a row now under the pressure of relegation.

I can’t think of any other keep who’s kept these levels up as high as Pickford has for 2 and a half seasons. No doubt this will trigger the Allison fanboys on here though.

Allison is better at claiming crosses and also at one on ones (although Pickford is better than most at this). He’s probably better at pens also.

Pickford is a better shot stopper at getting down to shots across his goal (which Allison is weak at), has quicker reactions for double saves or changes of direction, and is miles better with his feet (seriously how many errors does Allison have to make before someone points out he’s awful with the ball)

There’s no two ways about it though, Pickford is one of the best keepers in the prem and a massive weapon for us over Leeds Forest and Leicester who have keepers costing them games each week whilst ours is saving points.
