Can't just praise him, no?
Always an agenda against Pickford in the media.
Before the game I posted here that he still doesn't give me confidence in a lot of situations during a game, but I'm fine with him as our no1 when he used to drive me mad along with the majority of the rest of our players.
I'd agree with @Drico point above that we got him young so had to suffer the learning curve at the top level for a young keeper AND playing in a shambles of a club behind what was often a shambles of a def/mid.
I'd be happier if he was more on point with his decision making coming off the line and out of his area and came for more crosses, but for the level we are at in all honesty he is more than good enough

Really annoys me to be honest, its constant, people judging him on potentially making a mistake. No other keeper gets it, its ridiculous, all keepers make the occasional howler. Hilarious. After a busy day I just searched “Everton” to see what’s going on today. Lots of things about Pickford.
He’s firmly in Garth thingy’s team of the week and rightly so, but he just can’t stop himself, criticises Jordan for being an accident waiting to happen. Despite a flawless display and Garth himself putting his performance above Alissons. What a complete knobbler.
And I can understand Souness complaining about Pickford celebrating saves on Talksport, we hate him he hates us. But why on earth is Tim Sherwood absolutely fuming about it ?
This is a former player player and manager spitting urine everywhere because a keeper shouldn’t celebrate saves because “that’s their job”. So utterly thick to not realise that is like saying Kane can’t celebrate any goals because that’s his job. Or Pep can’t celebrate a tactical substitution that wins the game because that’s his job.
The poorly disguised dislike of all things Everton has finally turned into full blown raging hatred this season and I for one love it. It’s playing right into the manager and fans hands. Us against everyone is totally fine.

Garth Crooks said how well he’s been playing, then said that he’s playing so well that he’s waiting for a mistake. Ffs every player in the Premier League make mistakes, but even though Pickford is putting in world class performances they are just waiting for that one mistake……..
